Job summary

Thehseleader in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment professional responsible for implementing and maintaining the HSE program on site. You will support the HSE Supervisor, advise managers on corrective actions, and conduct risk assessments, JSA/HIRA reviews, and safety inspections.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Science/Engineering with advanced HSE qualifications and NEBOSH IGC (or working towards it). Minimum 2–3 years in HSE within Oil & Gas/Construction is expected.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Science/Engineering and advanced HSE qualifications.
  • NEBOSH IGC Certificate (or working towards achieving this).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with ARM and/or Client's safety program.
  • Assist and support HSE Supervisor in organizing and executing HSE programs and safety assignments.
  • Advise Department Line managers/supervisors on corrective/preventive actions for implementing the HSE program.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate risks in the workplace.
  • Review Job Safety Analysis/Hazard Identification (JSA/HIRA) as part of risk assessment.
  • Ensure habitual violators or safety complacent site personnel are reported and appropriate action is taken.
  • Investigate all accidents, injuries, property damage and other safety-related incidents and disseminate required reports.
  • Retain adequate records of all accidents & incidents and monitor/update HSE statistics monthly.
  • Carry out frequent safety inspections to check conformance with the established safety program and alert Senior HSE Managers/HSE Supervisor to defects for review and improvement.
  • Check proper usage and maintenance of PPE and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Encourage all trades to be safety-conscious through toolbox talks/awareness sessions and suggest improvements in personal safety and preventing loss or damage to equipment and materials.
  • Ensure that any equipment on site is suitable and provided with necessary valid certificates.
  • Follow any other instructions from Senior HSE Manager/HSE Supervisor.
  • Adhere to and follow the implemented Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, objectives and procedures.
