Job summary

Flowserve-Abahsain Flow Control Company Limited (Saudi Arabia) seeks an HSE Specialist to drive a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory and Flowserve standards across facility operations. You will lead 5S, incident reporting, training coordination, and audits while guiding continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental matters.

The role requires coordinating safety training, conducting investigations, and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate in OHS.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Good English communication skills.
• MHRSD Kawader professional certificate.
• Excellent knowledge of Saudi Arabia HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high level of housekeeping.
• Implement and maintain 5S in the facility.
• Perform 5S audits every 3 months.
• Conduct daily safety walk-throughs and report findings in SPHERA.
• Review local standards and escalate to management.
• Lead monthly HSE committee meetings and weekly toolbox talks.
• Provide safety reports.
• Report near misses, first aid, lost time, environmental/fire/vehicular incidents to SPHERA.
• Encourage associates to report observations in Sphera; review reports and update HSE RAIL.
• Lead environmental, health and safety activities with the safety committee.
• Conduct rigorous incident investigations focusing on prevention and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate safety training and new hire orientation.
• Maintain records of injuries/illnesses and develop countermeasures.
• Co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee and coordinate actions.
• Conduct monthly safety audits and establish measurable standards with follow-up.
• Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and drills.
• Ensure environmental reports on air, storm water, and sanitary sewer permits are submitted timely.

Job description

Role Summary: The HSE Specialist drives a strong safety culture and ensures operational compliance across facility operations. This role focuses on maintaining workplace safety standards, leading continuous improvement through 5S, managing incident reporting, coordinating safety training, and ensuring full compliance with local Saudi Arabian HSE legislation and Flowserve corporate standards.

Key Task Responsibilities

• Maintain high level of housekeeping.
• Implement and maintain 5S in the facility.
• Perform 5’S audit every 3 months.
• Conduct walk through safety inspection on a daily basis and report findings to immediate supervisor and enter findings in Sphera.
• Review local standards and ensure that those requirements are brought to the attention of immediate supervisor and top management.
• Conduct monthly HSE committee and weekly toolbox meeting.
• Provide reports.
• Report all Near miss/First aid/Loss time, environmental/fire/vehicular incident to SPHERA.
• Encourage all associates in the site to report observation in Sphera Review all reports in SHPERA and update HSE RAIL on a regular basis.
• Manage environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership, communication, motivation and direction ofsafety committee.
• Conduct a rigorous incident investigation process focused on, prevention, root cause analysis and injury prevention leading indicators.
• Coordinate safety training for all employees in the areas of Safety Health & Environmental matters
• Develop and administer New Hire Orientation Safety Training Investigate and maintain records for all work-related injuries and/or illnesses, provide statistical analysis, and assist department management in the development of effective health and safety countermeasures to continuously improve safety objectives.
• Serve as co-chair on the Joint Health and Safety Committee and help to coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of issues identified by the Safety regulations and Flowserve corporate audits.
• Conduct monthly workplace safety audits and establish measurable standards from which further recommendations (continuous improvement) can be made, with effective follow-up.
• Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills.
• Ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time pertaining air, storm water and sanitary sewer discharge permits.

Qualification Requirement

• BS/BA Graduate of any 4 year course, or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH International general certificate in OHS
• Detailed knowledge of ISO-9001, 14001 and 45001
• With at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• With good English communication skills.
• MHRSD professional certificate (Kawader)
• Excellent knowledge of Saudi Arabia health, safety and environment legislation
