The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting and managing all functions of the Human Resources department. This role requires in-depth knowledge of various HR disciplines, including recruitment and staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, HR policies and compliance, and HR systems. The HR Specialist ensures that HR practices align with the organization’s goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Handle employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
Handle Operations
- Oversee HR operations including payroll, leave management, end of service, and medical insurance.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Support training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain HR systems and prepare reports for management.
Monitor HR Metrics
- Prepare reports for management to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and company HR policies.
Training & Organizational Development
- Assess training needs, design and deliver training programs, monitor effectiveness, and support continuous learning initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Lead training, development, and organizational development (OD) initiatives.
Employee Relations
- Handle employee relations by addressing concerns, providing guidance to staff and managers, and fostering a positive work environment.
Government Relations
- Manage all government portals and compliance requirements (including Mudad, Muqeem, Qawi, GOSI, and other official platforms) to ensure timely and accurate submissions for wages, employee data, and regulatory updates.
Manage HR Information Systems (HRIS)
- Maintain accurate data and generate required reports.
- Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, proven HR experience with strong background in payroll and HR operations, excellent knowledge of HR practices & labor laws, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience: Proven experience in HR or similar role.
- Expertise: Knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices; strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Office and HR systems; high level of confidentiality.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist covering salaries, operations, end of service, and leave management.
- Strong knowledge of HR functions, policies, and labor law.
