HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT
To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and aesthetic appeal in all guest rooms and assigned areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for hotel guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Room Cleaning & Servicing: Thoroughly clean and service guest rooms daily according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Amenities & Supplies: Replenish guest room amenities (toiletries, tea/coffee, water) and housekeeping supplies (linen, towels) as per standards.
- Quality & Inspection: Ensure all cleaned rooms meet the established quality checklist before being released as "ready for sale."
- Maintenance Reporting: Promptly report any maintenance defects, damages, or missing items in guest rooms or public areas to the supervisor.
- Guest Service: Respond to guest requests for extra items or services (extra pillows, iron) promptly and courteously. Handle guest property with utmost care.
- Lost & Found: Follow strict procedures for handling and logging any lost property found in rooms or public areas.
- Equipment Care: Properly handle, maintain, and store cleaning equipment and trolleys. Ensure chemical safety protocols are followed.
- Teamwork & Safety: Cooperate with team members and other departments. Adhere to all hotel health, safety, and sanitation policies, including COVID-19 protocols.
Requirements
- Physically fit with stamina for demanding work.
- Honest, reliable, and with a strong eye for detail.
- Basic English communication skills (verbal).
- Willingness to undergo and pass the mandatory pre-employment medical test (HIV, Hepatitis, Chest X-ray, etc.).
- Must be a registered student of Finstock Evarsity with a valid Student Number.
