Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Ta'if, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and motivate a team while delivering exceptional guest service. The role requires coordinating room allocations, inspections, and responsive guest support, with emphasis on standards, safety, and sustainability initiatives.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a similar role within an international hotel group, strong English skills, and a professional presence.

Qualifications

• High school certificate required; hotel school qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position within an international hotel chain.
• Good command of English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.
• Smart, well-groomed, professional, and able to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with guests, colleagues and external parties.
• Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, interpret information, and deliver training.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental goals, financial targets, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage storage areas and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Assist with staff training and work scheduling.
• Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct staff briefings, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure excellent guest service and promptly address guest requests and complaints.
• Coordinate room allocations, inspections, and arrival room priorities.
• Liaise with Front Office and manage guest requests, valet services, calls, and lost property.
• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, fire safety, and hotel security procedures.
• Report incidents and accidents promptly.
• Support sustainability initiatives and coordinate special housekeeping projects.
• Maintain knowledge of room types, layouts, facilities, and housekeeping systems.
