Job summary

InterContinental Riyadh is seeking an F&B Hostess to warmly welcome guests, escort them to tables and present menus, ensuring an exceptional dining experience in line with our brand ethos.

The role requires hospitality training and at least 1 year in a similar role, with familiarity with MICROS/POS systems and MS Office, plus knowledge of F&B terminology and wine service. Saudi nationals only.

Qualifications

• Hospitality diploma/degree and 1+ year experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check-in procedures, using guest name when possible.
• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently according to department standards.
• Escort guests to tables, assist seating, and present the menu, promoting items as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures related to the role and brand requirements.
• Attend meetings and training as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check‑in procedures in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible.
• Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.
• Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu.
• Ensure that you serve all the guest face towel.
• Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor.
• Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications

• Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality or Barista school and more than one year’s experience in a similar operational role.
• Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sale platforms. Knowledge of hotel/resort policies on discounts/food promotion etc.
• Familiarity with Food and beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
