Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking a Saudi national for an HL7 Integration Developer / Integration Operations Engineer role based in Al Qassim. You will manage and troubleshoot healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect, HL7 and FHIR standards, and REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange across systems.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in healthcare integration environments, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with DevOps/DBA teams to maintain end-to-end data flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in integration development/operations or healthcare systems integration.
• Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen Integration Engine) or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of HL7 and FHIR healthcare data standards.
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
• Practical experience with message queue management, channel monitoring, error handling, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to investigate integration failures and support reliable end-to-end data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Mirth Connect channels and message queues across environments.
• Perform message reprocessing, error handling, and troubleshooting for failed interfaces.
• Investigate integration issues and assist in timely resolution to maintain system stability.
• Support onboarding of new integrations and assist developers with interface deployment.
• Collaborate with DevOps and DBA teams to maintain smooth data flow.
• Monitor integration performance and identify issues affecting message processing.
