Job summary

PROVEN is seeking a Business Development Manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to drive growth and diversification by developing and executing strategic plans. The role focuses on expanding the client base, increasing revenue, and ensuring long-term sustainability through strong stakeholder management and effective communication of our value proposition.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of BD experience, familiarity with Saudi market norms, and prior freight-forwarding exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in a business development role within the Saudi Arabian market.
• Prior experience in a freight forwarding company is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement effective business development strategies to drive long-term growth and revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and maximize business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and achieve sales targets.
• Acquire an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and services, effectively communicating the value proposition to potential clients.
• Develop and present compelling business proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations with stakeholders to secure favourable terms and close new business deals.
• Identify key strengths within the business and align them with customer needs to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Research market opportunities, industry trends, and viable income streams to ensure the business remains competitive and responsive to changing demands.
• Source new sales opportunities through both inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calling/emails.
• Open new accounts, establish credit facilities, and develop operational procedures to ensure smooth onboarding for customers.
• Close sales deals to meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas.
• Conduct in-depth research on target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and generate interest in the company’s offerings.
