Job summary

Client of Taj HR is seeking a Government Relations GRO professional with hands-on customs clearance experience to manage and coordinate the clearance of imported shipments. The role focuses on procedures for shipments from China while coordinating with authorities to ensure timely movement of goods.

The candidate should handle various cargo types and possess strong communication and documentation skills, with a track record in Saudi customs and port authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in government relations and customs clearance
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding and shipping
• Experience with Saudi customs procedures and import/export documentation
• FASAH platform proficiency mandatory
• Experience handling shipments from China preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for imported shipments
• Coordinate with customs and port authorities to facilitate clearance
• Process and follow shipments via the FASAH platform
• Prepare and verify customs/import documentation for accuracy
• Coordinate with government authorities, transport and traffic departments
• Maintain relationships with Yanbu authorities and related agencies
• Track inspections, approvals, releases, and delays; resolve issues
• Coordinate with shipping lines, forwarders, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with Saudi import procedures and regulations
• Provide updates to project leadership on clearance progress
