Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Saudi Arabia seeks a GIS I&C Supervisor to oversee installation, commissioning, and fault resolution of high voltage systems for PGHV worldwide. You will lead on-site activities, ensure adherence to installation instructions and safety guidelines, and review drawings with sub-suppliers to meet the project schedule.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years GIS experience; knowledge of SF6 gas handling and MS Project is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• Experience with SF6 gas handling and PGHV Transmission GIS knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and Instructions; observes accident prevention measures.
• Responsible for red-mark drawings/documents with changes during installation.
• Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination to meet schedule.
• Cooperating with PG Project Manager on status of completed and non-completed work.
• Inspecting arriving material for completeness and coordinating material handling.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG scope of supply.
• Supervising final installation and commissioning tests and documentation.
• Supervising loop check activities and site meetings as requested by PG-CH Project Manager.
• Ensuring competence in task execution and compliance with regulations.
