Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a GIS I&C Engineer to cover installation, commissioning, and fault elimination of high-voltage switching systems worldwide. You will ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines while coordinating with project managers and sub-suppliers on site.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, live-system work guidelines, and report generation for deviations, with a focus on safety and quality along PGHV project scopes.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the work force.
• Cooperating with PG Project Manager on status of completed work.
• Inspecting arriving material for completeness and possible damage.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment.
• Supervising final installation and commissioning tests and documentation.
