Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Saudi Arabia is seeking a GIS I&C Engineer to cover activities required to install, repair and commission switching systems for PGHV. You will represent PG at installation sites with technical expertise.

You will lead independent installation and maintenance, ensure compliance, coordinate with sub-suppliers, inspect materials, and supervise tests, contributing to on-time, safe project completion.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• Experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Responsible for red-mark drawings/documents with changes during installation.
• Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination.
• Cooperating with PG Project Manager on status of completed and non-completed work.
• Inspecting arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordinating material handling.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG scope of supply.
• Supervising final installation & commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
• Supervising and coordinating the loop check activities and site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
• Responsible for competence execution of his tasks.
• Carry out any tasks assigned by management to fulfil job requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
