The position combines GIS database administration, spatial analysis, quality assurance, visualization, survey integration, BIM coordination, and asset information management. Accurate geospatial control in this role will help project teams identify spatial conflicts earlier, improve infrastructure coordination, strengthen construction planning, and create dependable as-built information for long-term operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead GIS activities and provide specialist geospatial support across multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Develop, administer, and maintain project-level and enterprise geodatabases.

  • Collect, process, validate, analyze, transform, and visualize spatial information from multiple project sources.

  • Maintain accurate GIS layers covering roads, buildings, utilities, pavements, drainage systems, airport facilities, and other infrastructure assets.

  • Integrate survey, CAD, BIM, GPS, satellite imagery, drone data, and field observations into approved GIS environments.

  • Verify that spatial information is correctly georeferenced and aligned with established coordinate reference systems.

  • Review GIS datasets for accuracy, completeness, consistency, duplication, and compliance with project requirements.

  • Establish spatial data structures, naming conventions, metadata requirements, validation rules, and information standards.

  • Perform spatial analysis to support engineering, construction, planning, logistics, asset management, and management decision-making.

  • Produce thematic maps, drawings, analytical outputs, interactive dashboards, and geospatial visualizations.

  • Respond to spatial queries and provide project teams with reliable geospatial information for technical and operational requirements.

  • Coordinate with Survey teams to maintain consistency between survey control, benchmarks, coordinates, and GIS datasets.

  • Integrate topographical surveys, GPS observations, as-built surveys, and field verification information into GIS.

  • Coordinate with BIM teams to align federated model information with GIS datasets where required.

  • Support integration between GIS, BIM, CAD, Common Data Environments, and asset management platforms.

  • Convert information between GIS, CAD, engineering, raster, and vector formats while protecting spatial accuracy and attribute integrity.

  • Manage imports, exports, editing, cleaning, transformation, updates, revisions, and approval status of geospatial data.

  • Maintain complete metadata and traceability for GIS datasets throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Identify spatial conflicts between existing infrastructure, new works, utilities, construction zones, and project interfaces.

  • Conduct GIS quality assurance reviews and coordinate corrective action for inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Develop automated workflows for repetitive GIS processing, data validation, transformation, and reporting where appropriate.

  • Maintain GIS registers, data inventories, issue logs, quality reports, and supporting technical records.

  • Provide technical guidance to junior GIS staff and project personnel using geospatial information.

  • Prepare GIS reports, analytical maps, technical presentations, and management visualization products.

  • Maintain spatial datasets for airport terminals, runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, airside facilities, landside areas, utilities, drainage, and external infrastructure.

  • Support airport-wide infrastructure databases and geospatial asset information.

  • Coordinate utility mapping for water, sewerage, stormwater, electrical, telecommunications, and other underground networks.

  • Support mapping and comparison of existing and proposed infrastructure to identify conflicts and interface risks.

  • Use GIS analysis to support construction access, logistics planning, temporary facilities, work zones, and phased construction.

  • Apply airport-specific coordinate systems and geospatial requirements consistently across project data.

  • Manage vector and raster datasets including points, lines, polygons, imagery, terrain, and asset information.

  • Maintain attribute information and verify required asset data is complete and correctly associated with spatial features.

  • Control GIS versioning, dataset updates, approvals, and revisions according to project information management requirements.

  • Coordinate geospatial data exchanges with Consultants, Contractors, Client teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Perform proximity, connectivity, accessibility, utility corridor, infrastructure interface, and constraint analysis.

  • Develop GIS-based views of construction progress and project development where required.

  • Coordinate with Civil, Utilities, Roads, Drainage, Structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to resolve spatial discrepancies.

  • Provide GIS information to support RFIs, Technical Queries, design reviews, field coordination, and construction planning.

  • Develop GIS-based asset registers and spatial infrastructure databases for digital handover.

  • Coordinate with Commissioning and Asset Management teams to ensure final GIS information meets operational requirements.

  • Support integration of GIS information with CAFM, IWMS, EAM, and other asset management platforms.

  • Verify final as-built geospatial information against approved project records, surveys, and site conditions.

  • Prepare complete GIS datasets, metadata, documentation, and associated digital records for final handover.

Ideal Profile

The position requires a Bachelor 's Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, supported by at least 8 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates should have substantial experience in GIS, geospatial information management, infrastructure mapping, digital engineering, or spatial data coordination within major infrastructure, airport, transportation, utility, or multidisciplinary construction environments. Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, or equivalent GIS platforms is required.
