Job summary

Zahran Facilities Management in Riyadh seeks an Odoo specialist to translate business needs into functional specs, configure modules with minimal customization, and support end users.

You will develop reports using QWeb, create integrations via REST/XML-RPC, and assist with data migration and system upgrades across Odoo versions.

A 2–4 year background in Odoo with Python is required; a CS/IS degree is preferred, and ERP implementation experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze requirements from different departments, including Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, Human Resources, and others, and translate them into clear functional specifications.
• Prepare Gap Analysis documentation to identify differences between the company’s business requirements and the standard capabilities of the Odoo system.
• Configure and set up various Odoo modules, avoiding code customization whenever possible.
• Train end users and prepare User Manuals and other relevant training materials.
• Coordinate and follow up on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before the system goes live, and document user feedback and issues.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo framework.
• Design and develop customized reports using QWeb and Jasper Reports.
• Develop and customize user interfaces and views, including Form, Tree, and Kanban Views, using XML.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and REST APIs.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Manage data migration activities, including data import and export.
• Support and monitor system upgrades across different Odoo versions.

Shared Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot day-to-day system issues.
• Coordinate with other business teams, including Accounting, Purchasing, and Inventory, to ensure that the system aligns with actual business workflows.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system performance enhancement projects.
• Work collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure effective coordination and successful implementation of solutions.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of practical experience working with the Odoo platform in a Functional, Technical, or combined Techno-Functional capacity.
• Previous experience in implementing or supporting ERP systems is an added advantage.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and the Odoo framework, including ORM, Models, Views, Actions, and Workflows.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL query writing.
• Experience with XML and QWeb for designing reports and user interfaces.
• Understanding of REST APIs and XML-RPC for system integration.
• Knowledge of JavaScript / OWL framework is an advantage, particularly for advanced user-interface customizations.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

Required Functional Skills:

• Good understanding of fundamental accounting and financial processes.
• Understanding of Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.
• Ability to document business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
