Job summary

Batterjee Medical College is seeking an entry-level ERP developer to customize and maintain ERP modules, forms, workflows, and reports within the Odoo ecosystem. You will design scalable solutions, build APIs, and integrate with internal platforms while supporting system upgrades and performance improvements.

The role requires 0-3 years of ERP or enterprise app development experience, a strong Python background, and familiarity with PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, and Nginx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain ERP modules, forms, workflows and business processes in the ERP platform.
• Design and implement technical solutions with scalability and maintainability in mind.
• Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and integrations with internal/external systems.
• Troubleshoot, fix bugs, and optimize performance across ERP deployments.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations between ERP systems and other platforms.
• Coordinate with DBAs, infrastructure and app teams to ensure smooth operations and upgrades.
• Support and maintain ERP tech stack including Linux servers and Nginx, monitor performance.
• Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure secure coding practices and assist with audits and compliance.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams; document solutions and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Development amp CustomizationDevelop customize and maintain ERP modules forms workflows and business processes based on operational requirements Design and implement technical solutions within the ERP platform while ensuring scalability and maintainability Create and maintain custom reports dashboards and integrations with internal and external systems Participate in troubleshooting bug fixing and performance optimization activities

System Integration amp Technical Support

Develop and maintain APIs and integrations between ERP systems and other institutional platforms Support data exchange and interoperability between enterprise applications Coordinate with database administrators infrastructure teams and application teams to ensure smooth system operations Assist in system upgrades deployments and migration activities

Infrastructure amp Technology Stack Support

Support and maintain the ERP technical environment including application servers Linux environments Nginx and related technologies Monitor system performance and contribute to improving system reliability security and availability Ensure coding standards version control practices and deployment procedures are properly followed Participate in backup recovery and environment management activities in coordination with relevant IT teams

Process Improvement amp Innovation

Compliance amp Security

Ensure ERP developments and integrations comply with organizational IT standards and security requirements Maintain secure coding practices and support vulnerability resolution activities Assist in maintaining system stability data integrity and operational continuity Support audit and compliance activities related to enterprise systems

Collaboration amp Communication

Work closely with business users and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions Provide technical support and user guidance when needed Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and integrations Coordinate with vendors and external partners when required

RequirementsQualification/Certification

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications in ERP technologies, Linux administration, or software development are considered an advantage. Experience:0-3 years of experience in ERP development, software development, or enterprise applications. Experience with ERP systems, especially Odoo, is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong knowledge of Python programming and object-oriented development concepts.Knowledge of Odoo development framework, including module development, customization, workflows, reports, and integrations.Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases, APIs, and web technologies.Knowledge of Git/GitHub version control practices and collaborative development workflows.Understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices.Basic knowledge of Linux servers, Nginx, and application hosting environments.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and business requirements.Innovative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas and improvements.Good communication and teamwork skills.
