Job summary

CAE Middle East invites applications for a Simulator Technician to support Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia. You will work with advanced flight simulator systems and equipment, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure high availability of training assets.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years in electronic/avionic tech environment.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in an aviation tech setting.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Ability to read system prints and schematics accurately.
• Proficient soldering and circuit board repair skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer literacy.
• Fluent in English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and fix technical problems affecting simulators and systems.
• Use maintenance management system to log activities.
• Complete required training activities and pre/post-flight checks.
• Perform basic visual alignments and test procedures.
• Run Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures as required.
• Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Follow CAE quality management system and safety rules.
• Provide timely customer service support and address needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of simulators.
• Support logistics tasks including parts receipt, repair, and testing.
• Handle administrative tasks and assist technical services group.

Join CAE Middle East as a Simulator Technician and help establish the technical operations supporting Riyadh Air s new training centre in Saudi Arabia This is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a new aviation training environment while working with advanced flight simulators systems and equipment We offer exposure to a wide range of modern simulators systems and equipment providing opportunities for learning development and progression within the technical function

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical problems affecting flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Complete all designated training activities.
• Perform pre-flight and post flight on designated simulators.
• Perform basic visual alignments.
• Run automatic Qualification Test Guide QTG.
• Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
• Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
• Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
• Perform logistics duties including parts received repair and testing validation.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical environment.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
• Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
• Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
• Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
• Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
• Some Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
• Fluency in English.
