Job summary

CAE Middle East is seeking a Simulator Technician in Riyadh to support Riyadh Air's new training centre. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and document activities on flight simulators and related systems.

You will learn and perform pre-/post-flight tasks, basic visual alignments, and QA testing while adhering to CAE quality management and safety standards. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years in avionics/electronic tech.
• 1–3 years relevant experience in a technical environment.
• English fluency and ability to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and systems.
• Assist in diagnosing technical problems affecting simulators.
• Record maintenance activities using the maintenance system.
• Complete designated training activities and pre/post flight checks.
• Perform basic visual alignments and QTG testing.
• Provide customer service support and maintain safety compliance.

Join CAE Middle East as a Simulator Technician and help establish the technical operations supporting Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia. This is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a new aviation training environment while working with advanced flight simulators, systems, and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical problems affecting flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Complete all designated training activities.
• Perform pre-flight and post flight on designated simulators.
• Perform basic visual alignments.
• Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
• Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
• Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
• Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
• Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical environment.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
• Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
• Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
• Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
• Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
• Some Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
• Fluency in English.
