Job summary

CAE Middle East is seeking a Simulator Technician to support Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced flight simulators, systems, and equipment, contributing to a growing aviation training operation.

The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with the technical services group to ensure high performance and safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a 2-year technical degree or 4 years of relevant technical experience in electronics/avionics.
• Minimum 1–3 years of related work experience in a maintenance/repair environment.
• Ability to read system prints/schematics and interpret technical diagrams.
• Proficient with hand and bench test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator).
• Proficient in soldering and circuit-board repairs; able to use Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in English and computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues affecting simulators and related equipment.
• Record maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
• Complete designated training activities and participate in pre/post-flight checks on simulators.
• Assist with refurbishment, hardware modifications, and quality management adherence.
• Provide customer service support and address needs in a timely manner.
• Carry out logistics duties, including parts handling, repair, and testing/validation.

Job description

Join CAE Middle East as a Simulator Technician and help establish the technical operations supporting Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia. This is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a new aviation training environment while working with advanced flight simulators, systems, and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical problems affecting flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Complete all designated training activities.
• Perform pre-flight and post flight on designated simulators.
• Perform basic visual alignments.
• Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
• Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
• Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
• Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
• Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical environment.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
• Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.).
• Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
• Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
• Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
• Some Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
• Fluency in English.
