Job summary

Jobtailor in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, seeks a seasoned Fleet Operations Manager to lead daily transport planning, oversee fleet maintenance, and optimize fuel costs. You will monitor on-time deliveries, schedule routes, ensure driver availability, and enforce government compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, bilingual English/Arabic communication, and deep experience in fleet operations. You will develop succession plans and coach drivers to improve performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferable.
• 8 years experience in Fleet Operation.
• Advanced knowledge of Fleet Operation Management.
• Computer skills.

• English/Arabic language capability.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily plan of vehicle transport.
• Manage day-to-day fleet operations.
• Oversee and coordinate fleet maintenance.
• Maintain fuel consumption by comparing trip destinations with actual fuel costs.
• Monitor on-time vehicle delivery.
• Schedule routes and deliveries.
• Ensure driver availability daily.
• Monitor driver behavior daily.
• Develop and train drivers in vehicle loading and offloading.
• Comply with government regulations.
• Monitor fleet condition, vehicle delivery timing, shipment damage ratio, and operational costs.
• Develop and monitor the team and create a succession plan within the department.
• Exercise hiring and firing authority over drivers.
