Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide service and support for Emerson Process Management products, including maintenance, diagnostics, installation, commissioning, start-up, and issue resolution. You’ll serve as the technical focal point for customer service contracts, projects, and solutions.

You will perform routine maintenance, advise on preventative maintenance and configurations, and coordinate service project activities on-site.

Qualifications

• Associate level certification for all services performed at site
• Understanding of Control & Instrumentation theory including control loop configuration
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (control engineering, computer science, or electronics)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with customer requirements
• Provide recommendations to the customer on product or solution enhancements and system health checks
• Take ownership in service project activities coordination
• Carry out startup/installation/commissioning, fault analysis and repairs on Emerson Process Management products
• Assist Sales Engineers in demonstrations and after-sales service and proactively promote service
• Develop and implement product/system configuration changes at site to meet customer requirements
• Provide on-site instruction on application, maintenance, and operation of Emerson Process Management products
• Be available to support the on-call rotation
• Adhere to Emerson requirements for timesheets, site visit reports and internal procedures
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies
