Job summary

Emerson is seeking a field service and support engineer to service and support Emerson products, including maintenance, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up, and problem resolution.

You will be the focal point for customer technical support on service contracts, projects and technical solutions, advising on preventative maintenance and configuration to enhance performance and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (including control engineering, computer science or electronics).
• Associate level certification for all services performed at site.
• Understanding of Control & Instrumentation theory and control loop configuration.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks according to customer requirements.
• Provide recommendations on products or solutions and health checks.
• Coordinate service project activities and on-site startup/installation/commissioning.
• Carry out fault analysis and repairs on Emerson Process Management products.
• Assist Sales Engineers with demonstrations and after-sales guidance.
• Develop and implement product configurations at site to meet customer needs.
• Provide on-site instruction on application, maintenance, and operation.
• Support on-call rotation and complete documentation per Emerson procedures.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies.
