Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is recruiting a Manager - Expansion to lead the expansion strategy for retail Discount stores in Saudi Arabia, overseeing site identification, feasibility studies and lease negotiations to drive growth in the KSA market.

You will manage end-to-end projects, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, monitor KPIs and ensure delivery on time and within budget while building a strong talent pipeline for future expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in a managerial function, with 4+ years in retail or related industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven managerial skills with cross-functional team leadership and complex project delivery.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing lease agreements and vendor relationships.
• Analytical, needs analysis, and business justification skills with a track record of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute expansion plans aligned with strategic objectives, including site identification, feasibility studies, and lease negotiations for new retail locations.
• Conduct market evaluations, competitor analysis, and identify new business opportunities to support country development programs and regional growth.
• Oversee end-to-end project management, ensuring timely execution within budget, efficient resource utilization, and coordination across internal departments and external partners.
• Monitor project performance against KPIs, report to management, ensure legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance.
• Develop policies, processes, and action plans to enhance profitability and productivity, and advise local teams on retail innovations.
• Manage contractor and consultant selection, ensure adherence to agreements, and oversee risk assessments and audits.
• Provide mentorship and training to build a strong talent pipeline and ongoing development.
• Prepare periodic business reports and maintain alignment with corporate policies and governance.
