Job summary

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking an Estimator/Tendering Engineer to join our contracting and construction team on a remote-work basis. The role requires analyzing tender documents, preparing quantity take-offs, and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to produce competitive cost estimates.

The ideal candidate has a civil or architectural engineering background with at least five years of estimating experience and strong Excel/AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating or tendering experience in building construction.
• Proficient in Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings and specs to identify risks and clarifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and unit rate build-ups for tender BOQs.
• Request, compare and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost estimates, pricing summaries and tender submissions.
• Propose value-engineering alternatives where appropriate.
• Maintain a cost database of rates and recent prices.
• Support handover of awarded projects to the execution team.
