Job summary

Halliburton in Saudi Arabia is seeking an entry-level Service Operator to assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and downhole well logging equipment, under strict supervision.

You will learn basic well operations, safety procedures, equipment inspections, and required paperwork, with emphasis on communication, math, reading/writing, and teamwork. This role emphasizes adherence to HSE guidelines in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in certain locations.
• Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required (some locations).
• Successful completion of water survival training may be required.
• The ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
• The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and downhole logging equipment on job sites.
• Learn basic oil well operations including identification of rig types and drill string components.
• Support operation of well logging equipment at the job site.
• Assist in pre- and post-job vehicle and equipment inspections and related paperwork.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform preventive maintenance on down-hole and surface logging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and guidelines.
