Job summary

Lucid Motors Middle East is seeking an experienced Engineering Launch Manager to lead Plant Vehicle Engineering for Interior, Exterior, Seating, and Restraint systems during vehicle launch and ramp-up. You will coordinate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Vehicle Integration to ensure safe, high-quality vehicles and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering required.
• 8+ years automotive engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Experience with vehicle launches, ramp-ups, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work across cultures and time zones, including early-morning/evening meetings.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Vehicle Integration teams.
• Own ICA and PCA execution from containment and risk assessment through verified root cause, corrective action, validation, and closure.
• Teach structured root cause analysis (5 Why, fishbone, 8D, FMEA) and verify effectiveness.
• Define roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and decision rights; ensure cross-functional actions are closed.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and programs to remove roadblocks and resolve manufacturing and safety issues.
• Establish operating rhythms for issue reviews, technical escalations, launch readiness, and leadership reporting.
• Support engineers and lead by example during critical builds and production escalations.
