Job summary

Lucid Motors Middle East seeks a Staff Engineer, Lighting Systems, to lead on-site lighting development for launches and production. You will work with global lighting teams, suppliers, and plant staff to ensure fit, function, and readiness across programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in automotive lighting, strong CATIA/3DX skills, and a track record of driving corrective actions, supporting validation, and sustaining improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• 10+ years in automotive lighting development and plant support.
• Experience with launch, validation, and sustaining improvements.
• Ability to read CAD models and release documentation using CATIA/3DX.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site technical owner for lighting during prototype builds and production.
• Own plant-related lighting topics including fit, function, and assembly feasibility.
• Coordinate with global lighting teams, suppliers, and manufacturing for launches.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting of lighting modules and electrical interfaces.
• Review CAD data, GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and supplier docs for program readiness.
• Track issues, risk, containment, and permanent corrective actions.
• Provide clear status updates to leadership on risk and readiness.
