Job summary

NEW Alfa International in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a senior protection relay engineer to perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting for LV/MV/HV electrical systems. You will configure numerical protection relays and develop protection settings, reviews of SLDs and wiring diagrams, and ensure documentation is complete.

Requires strong hands-on experience with protection schemes, relay testing tools such as OMICRON, Megger or Doble, and knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum extensive experience in electrical protection and relay testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with numerical protection relays.
• Familiarity with relay testing equipment (OMICRON, Megger, Doble).
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and protection coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection relay testing, commissioning and troubleshooting for LV/MV/HV systems.
• Test and configure numerical protection relays (OC/earth fault/distance/transformer).
• Review SLDs and wiring diagrams and protection settings.
• Develop and verify relay settings and coordination studies.
• Prepare test and commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, EPCs and site teams during testing.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and safety standards.
