Role Context

High‑rise buildings depend on connected ELV systems for security, communication, life‑safety interfaces, monitoring, and daily operations. These networks must be coordinated with electrical power, architecture, MEP services, fire systems, and ICT infrastructure across every floor and technical area. The Electrical Engineer will provide construction‑stage assurance from contractor‑submission review through final commissioning. Early detection of installation defects and interface conflicts will reduce rework and help prepare integrated systems for authority approval and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor ELV installation across assigned high‑rise building areas.
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and coordinated installation layouts.
  • Assess method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals.
  • Inspect CCTV cameras, control equipment, cabling, and network interfaces.
  • Monitor installation of access‑control devices and associated security hardware.
  • Inspect public‑address systems and fire‑alarm interfaces.
  • Review structured‑cabling systems, racks, containment, outlets, and terminations.
  • Coordinate ICT systems and building‑management system interfaces.
  • Inspect other low‑current systems included within the project scope.
  • Coordinate ELV requirements with electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, and fire‑safety disciplines.
  • Resolve clashes, access constraints, and technical interface concerns.
  • Monitor work progress against the approved construction schedule.
  • Identify delays, risks, incomplete information, and resource constraints.
  • Assess contractor performance across quality, progress, safety, and workforce deployment.
  • Witness system inspections, testing, integration, and commissioning.
  • Verify that test procedures and results satisfy project and authority requirements.
  • Prepare site reports, inspection records, snag lists, and progress updates.
  • Raise non‑conformance reports for work that does not meet approved requirements.
  • Track corrective actions and verify completion before formal closeout.
  • Support the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in resolving technical issues.
  • Participate in progress meetings, coordination sessions, and technical reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and project standards.
  • Maintain alignment with SAPL supervision procedures.
  • Support completion documentation, system handover, and final acceptance.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor 's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum eight years of relevant construction experience.
  • Strong background supervising ELV systems on high‑rise building projects.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and public‑address systems.
  • Understanding of fire‑alarm and building‑management system interfaces.
  • Previous experience within construction supervision, engineering consultancy, or project‑management consultancy environments.
  • Good knowledge of site execution and installation practices.
  • Experience witnessing ELV testing and commissioning activities.
  • Understanding of quality assurance, quality control, and HSE requirements.
  • Familiarity with international standards, local codes, and authority procedures.
  • Ability to review drawings, technical documents, and contractor submissions.
  • Strong reporting, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience on major projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is advantageous.
  • Professional engineering registration or membership is preferred.
