Job summary

Responsibilities include incident investigations, policy development, contractor oversight, and training. Strong leadership, communication, and CPD emphasis are essential for promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a relevant field.
• 8+ years of health & safety experience in industrial or project-based environments.
• 5+ years leading and managing a large on-site HSE team.
• Excellent skills in incident reporting and developing HSE policies.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 and local regulations.
• Strong analytical and leadership abilities to drive a safe culture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across cultures.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001:2018 or ISO 14001:2015 is a plus.
• IOSH membership or equivalent is an advantage.
• CPD evidence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of HSE personnel with a site workforce of 450–500.
• Design, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental programs for the site.
• Lead accident investigations, prepare reports, and identify leading indicators.
• Review and update HSE policies, including risk tools such as HIRA and JSA.
• Embed HSE into project planning and contractor management across operations.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and conduct safety audits.
• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure safe execution of installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.
