Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Early Career Trainee to join Grid Solutions in Saudi Arabia. You will support high‑voltage GIS substation and related projects, while developing technical, coordination, and project execution skills.

Ideal candidates are fresh graduates with strong English communication, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a multicultural environment. You must be able to live in Riyadh and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduate or early-career professional with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Interest in substations, power systems, GIS, rotating machines, power plants, FACTS, or related projects.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn; able to work in a multicultural project environment.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to live and work in Riyadh and travel within Saudi Arabia as needed.
• Legal right to work in KSA without sponsorship or time restriction.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities and deliverables per project requirements, specs, and safety standards.
• Assist with layouts, schematics, technical docs, BOQs, and customer submissions.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, site teams, and project stakeholders.
• Attend technical meetings, design reviews, and site visits with guidance from engineers.
• Contribute to quality, EHS awareness, Lean, and continuous improvement.

Job Description

• Support engineering activities and deliverables in line with project requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, and safety expectations.
• Assist with layouts, schematics, technical documents, bills of quantities, customer submissions, and follow-up of open engineering actions.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and support coordination with customers, suppliers, site teams, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, clarification sessions, training, and site visits with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Contribute to quality, EHS awareness, Lean, and continuous improvement activities by sharing observations, lessons learned, and improvement ideas.
