Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Chef or Line Cook.
• Experience in restaurants, cafés, hotels, or catering is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Positive and hardworking attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Support preparation across multiple cuisines.
• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is prepared on time and to the required quality standards.
• Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation.
• Assist with food preparation, cutting, marinating, cooking and plating.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor food supplies and report shortages to the senior kitchen team.
• Support stock rotation and proper food storage.
• Assist during high-volume service periods.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are kept clean and organized.
