Confidential Careers seeks a CAD Drafter Civil to produce civil drawings for our Engineering & Consulting department. You will convert engineer mark-ups, survey data, and design intent into coordinated drawing sets across civil, structural, and architectural scopes, maintaining sets through revisions.

This is a production-focused role with review by the responsible engineer before issue. Strong file management and written queries are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years CAD drafting experience on building, infrastructure or fit-out projects
• Experience in contracting, construction, engineering consultancy, or facility management environments
• Demonstrated experience producing complete civil and structural drawing sets, including reinforcement detailing
• Experience producing drawings for projects in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC is strongly preferred

Responsabilités

• Drawing Standards & Coordination: apply title blocks, layering, line weights, and numbering; check clashes; raise written queries.

We are seeking a CAD Drafter Civil to produce civil drawing output for our Engineering & Consulting department,

The role converts engineer mark-ups, survey data, and design intent into complete, coordinated drawing sets across civil, structural, and architectural scope, and maintains those sets through successive revisions. This is a production-focused individual contributor role without design authority: every deliverable is reviewed and approved by the responsible engineer before issue.

Effective performance depends on disciplined file management, clean revision control, and raising queries in writing rather than making assumptions.

Key Accountabilities

1. Drawing Production Produce civil, structural, and architectural drawings from engineer sketches, mark-ups, photographs, and survey data. Develop general arrangements, plans, sections, elevations, foundation layouts, and reinforcement details. Prepare site plans, grading, drainage, and external works drawings. Prepare as-built drawings from site measurements supplied by site staff.
2. Drawing Standards & Coordination Apply the department's title blocks, layering, line weights, annotation styles, and numbering consistently. Cross-check drawings against other disciplines to identify clashes and missing information before issue. Raise written queries with the responsible engineer instead of assuming unclear scope. Update the drawing register and issue sheets in coordination with the Document Controller.
3. Revision & File Management Maintain strict revision control; archive and clearly mark superseded drawings. Transmit deliverables in the agreed formats and naming conventions, with native and PDF files together. Bind external references and include all blocks and standard details with each issue. Keep working files organised, backed up, and accessible to the department at all times.
4. Delivery & Communication Confirm scope, priority, and deadline before starting each assignment. Report progress at the agreed frequency and flag delays early. Be available during the agreed overlap with Saudi working hours for same-day clarification. Incorporate review comments promptly and confirm closure of each comment.
5. Other Perform any other duties reasonably required by the Head of Engineering that are consistent with the scope of this role.

• AutoCAD — Advanced AutoCAD 2D proficiency for production drafting
• Civil & Structural Drafting — Ability to draft structural, architectural, and site works drawings to a consistent standard
• Drawing Interpretation — Ability to work from mark-ups, specifications, and survey data with minimal supervision
• Revision Control — Understanding of drawing numbering, layering conventions, and revision management
• Output Preparation — Competence in sheet set-up, plotting, and issue-ready PDF packages
• Revit / BIM — Working knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
