Role Context

The Director - Hospitality Project Management will lead the day‑to‑day progression of complex hospitality assets from early planning through design, procurement, construction, and delivery. This position ensures stakeholders remain aligned, project controls are robust, performance is governed, and decisions are supported by accurate reporting and clear recommendations. The role is critical for maintaining programme, commercial, quality, and scope objectives while proactively resolving risks, dependencies, interface issues, and delivery challenges across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day delivery of complex hospitality assets across planning, design, procurement, construction, and project closeout stages.
  • Drive project execution by maintaining focus on programme, cost, quality, scope, risk, stakeholder alignment, and commercial objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong project controls processes to monitor performance and support timely decision‑making.
  • Review project data, interrogate performance trends, challenge outcomes, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead project governance and reporting by preparing structured submissions, performance updates, risk reports, and decision papers.
  • Translate complex project data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, hotel operators, internal teams, delivery partners, project management consultants, and approving bodies.
  • Manage interfaces, dependencies, actions, and decisions to ensure delivery momentum is maintained across all project stages.
  • Develop and maintain project management plans, master programmes, coordination trackers, risk registers, action logs, and delivery control tools.
  • Represent hospitality projects at senior governance meetings, leadership forums, progress reviews, and executive decision‑making sessions.
  • Present project performance, key risks, milestones, issues, decisions, and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure actions and decisions are clearly assigned, progressed, closed, and communicated across project participants.
  • Proactively identify project challenges related to design progress, procurement, construction readiness, cost, quality, programme, approvals, and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Support alignment between project objectives, operator requirements, commercial targets, design intent, construction deliverables, and asset performance goals.
  • Work closely with hotel operators and brand technical teams to ensure hospitality requirements are understood and embedded into project delivery.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to support timely resolution of technical, programme, commercial, and construction issues.
  • Monitor quality objectives and ensure project delivery remains aligned with required standards, specifications, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support procurement and construction planning by coordinating dependencies, approvals, long‑lead items, delivery packages, and interface requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management plans, delivery processes, reporting methods, governance standards, and portfolio performance practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams, building capability, accountability, collaboration, and high‑performance delivery behaviours.
  • Maintain clear communication across fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environments with changing priorities and complex delivery constraints.
  • Use project management and reporting tools to support schedule tracking, document control, issue management, reporting, and performance analysis.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional certification or chartered status such as PMP, MRICS, MCIOB, CEng, RIBA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in project management or construction management on major real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, or large‑scale development projects.
  • Minimum 10 years of client‑side or developer‑side experience within major project environments.
  • Proven record delivering hospitality assets, large‑scale developments, complex real estate projects, or mixed‑use assets.
  • Experience delivering hospitality assets and coordinating with hotel operators, brand technical services teams, and operator‑side stakeholders.
  • Strong experience across the full project lifecycle from early planning through design, procurement, construction, and delivery.
  • Strong project delivery and project controls expertise across cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, governance, and reporting.
  • Experience working with consultants, contractors, suppliers, delivery partners, project management consultants, government authorities, and approving bodies.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia, GCC, or similar large‑scale development environments is preferred.
  • Able to lead complex multi‑stakeholder environments and influence outcomes across senior project participants.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capability with the ability to act under pressure.
  • Clear communication, reporting, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑paced environments with ambiguity, shifting priorities, tight timelines, and high delivery expectations.
  • Proactive, adaptable, organized, and able to drive closure of actions and decisions.
  • Proficient in project management and reporting tools such as Primavera P6, Aconex, and equivalent project systems.
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to mentor teams and build accountable project delivery behaviours.
