Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Design Lead - Instrumentation to oversee engineering activities for solar PV projects in Riyadh. You will guide a team of design engineers and ensure drawings, bills of quantities, and vendor deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards.

Candidate should have BE Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent, with 10–15 years of relevant design experience in solar or power distribution, and strong PLC/SCADA and inter‑disciplinary coordination skills.

Qualifications

• BE Electronics Instrumentation or ICE, or M.Tech in related field.
• 10–15 years with design experience in PV power plants / power projects.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering drawings and documents on time.
• Ensure deliveries align with project schedule and budgets.
• Review design drawings; verify sizing calculations and client approvals.
• Evaluate vendor engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Multitask and manage multiple design tasks concurrently.
• Estimate and plan man-hour requirements for tasks.
• Review BOQ and provide technical clarifications to contracts.
• Coordinate with disciplines for inter‑departmental checks.
• Support site execution with clarifications and drawings.
• Check vendor pre‑award evaluations against client specs.
• Inspect vendor equipment after validation submission.
• Clarify design questions with client and site team.
• Gather project inputs from client and project manager.
• Coordinate with Operations to finalize design approvals.
• Collect general arrangement inputs from vendors.
