Job summary

PeopleStrong in Riyadh is seeking a Design Lead (Electrical - AC) to review and execute engineering activities for AC SLDs, layouts, earthing, cable sizing and transformer sizing for Solar PV power plants. The role requires coordinating with Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, MEP and site teams.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in design aspects of Solar PV plants / power distribution projects.
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating multi-discipline reviews.
• Proficient in SLDs, layouts, earthing, cable sizing and transformer sizing.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents.
• Ensure deliveries align with project schedule.
• Review drawings, sizing calculations and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate inter-departmental checks across Civil/ Structural, Instrumentation and MEP.
• Provide support to site execution and pre-bid engineering activities.
• Lead and manage a team of design engineers and draughtsmen.
• Review BOQ and provide technical clarifications to contracts.
• Inspect vendor equipment and validate technical requirements.
• Assist in pre-award evaluation of vendors and communications with Supply Chain.
