Job summary

Mina Excellence is seeking a Demi Chef - Pastry to join our pastry team in Riyadh. You will support the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in preparing and producing high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.

Responsibilities include daily pastry operations, maintaining cleanliness, following recipes, decorating and presenting desserts, managing mise en place, and ensuring food safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pastry kitchen or similar role.
• 2) Knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.
• 3) Passion for pastry, desserts and baking.
• 4) Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• 5) Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• 6) Good teamwork and communication skills.
• 7) Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the pastry section.
• Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and other baked goods.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for production and service.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality.
• Assist with decorating and presenting desserts and pastries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Store ingredients and finished products correctly.
• Monitor stock and inform the Chef de Partie of shortages.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef during busy service periods.
• Work as part of the kitchen team and assist with other tasks when required.
