Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Saudi Arabia invites a Cost Engineer to support the Ar Rjum gold project. You will prepare cost forecasts, monitor trends, and implement cost control requirements on a green field site.

Key focus is accurate budgeting, change management, and performance reporting to management and stakeholders. The role requires 8–12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent) and 8–12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 12–15 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in using PC operating systems and multi discipline specific software applications (EcoSys, PowerBI, Microsoft applications).
• Strong communication skills, with ability to present project controls information to management/client and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost budgets and accurate cost & cashflow forecasts, utilising the change management system.
• Monitor progress of contractors, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure approved trends and changes are incorporated into the overall project estimate at completion (EAC) and budget for cost and quantities.
• Prepare routine performance reports and special studies related to assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management team(s).
• Maintains open communications with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activities.
