Job summary

Aventus in Saudi Arabia seeks a Corporate Credit Manager to join the Risk function in Riyadh. You will review and approve corporate lending, ensuring portfolio health and compliance with risk appetite, policy, and SAMA regulations.

You will interact with relationship teams, conduct on-site borrower visits, and manage credit approvals and special initiatives as required. Strong credit analysis and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in banking, including at least 5 years in corporate or wholesale credit.
• Strong credit analysis across financial statements, cash flow, and industry risk.
• Solid knowledge of credit policy, credit structuring, and Saudi banking regulations.
• Track record of credit approvals and portfolio monitoring (early-warning, remedial).
• Relevant banking or credit certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review corporate credit applications for fit with strategy, risk appetite, and policy.
• Approve facilities and limit excesses within delegated authority; escalate larger proposals to senior management.
• Shape deal structures with relationship teams, including industry and counterparty risk analysis.
• Engage with borrowers, including on-site visits, to validate business cases.
• Watch portfolio closely, spot early warning signs, and recommend downgrades or provisions.
• Drive resolution of overdue exposures, limit breaches, and documentation gaps.
• Ensure all lending complies with internal policy and SAMA regulations.
• Act as credit contact for senior stakeholders, audit, and regulators; lead special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review corporate credit applications for fit with the bank's strategy, risk appetite, and credit policy
• Approve facilities and limit excesses within your delegated authority, and recommend larger proposals to senior management
• Shape deal structures with relationship teams, including industry, sector, and counterparty risk analysis
• Engage directly with borrowers, including on-site visits, to validate the business case behind each request
• Watch the portfolio closely, spot early warning signs, and recommend downgrades, provisions, or remedial action
• Drive resolution of overdue exposures, limit breaches, documentation gaps, and lapsed reviews, including rescheduling where needed
• Ensure all lending complies with internal policy and SAMA regulations
• Act as the credit point of contact for senior business stakeholders, audit teams, and the regulator, and lead special credit initiatives as required

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field
