Job Description

**Key Note**: The current responsibilities describe surveying duties, which do not align with the "Contract Administrator" job title. Below is an updated list of responsibilities appropriate for a Contract Administrator position:

  • Manages contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, renewal, and closure, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and negotiates contract terms and conditions to protect company interests and minimize risk exposure.
  • Maintains comprehensive contract documentation and records in centralized management systems, ensuring easy retrieval and accurate version control.
  • Monitors contract performance and vendor compliance, tracking key milestones, deliverables, and service level agreements.
  • Prepares and distributes contract reports, status updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders and management.
  • Coordinates with legal, procurement, finance, and operational teams to ensure contract alignment with business objectives.
  • Identifies and resolves contract discrepancies, disputes, and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains detailed records of contract amendments, modifications, and correspondence with all parties involved.
  • Provides guidance and support to internal departments regarding contract terms, obligations, and compliance requirements.
  • Develops and implements contract management processes and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
  • Conducts regular audits of active contracts to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • 7+ years of professional experience in contract administration, contract management, or related procurement/legal roles
  • Proven expertise in managing the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance requirements, and risk management principles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with contract management software and systems (e.g., CLM platforms, document management systems)
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear reports and documentation
  • Proven ability to resolve contract disputes and discrepancies effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., NCMA, ACP)
  • Experience implementing contract management process improvements and best practices
  • Familiarity with vendor performance monitoring and SLA tracking
