Job summary

Parsons in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Construction Manager - Baggage Handling Systems to lead the construction, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of baggage handling works within the terminal.

You will ensure systems meet safety, security, and performance requirements while coordinating with BHS suppliers, terminal teams, ICT, and airport operators. A 15+ year track record in BHS and airport projects is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing BHS systems for major airport projects.
• Strong knowledge of automated baggage systems and airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and installation of baggage handling systems.
• Coordinate integration between BHS suppliers, terminal contractors, ICT teams, and airport operators.
• Manage installation sequencing, logistics, and testing activities.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and interface documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airport security requirements and operational standards.
• Support integrated systems testing, commissioning, and ORAT activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, and safety compliance.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager - Baggage Handling Systems to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the construction, installation, integration, testing & commissioning and delivery of BHS works within the terminal building. The role ensures that all BHS systems meet operational, safety, security, and performance requirements in alignment with airport operational objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee construction and installation of baggage handling systems and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate integration between BHS suppliers, terminal contractors, ICT teams, and airport operators.
• Manage installation sequencing, logistics, and testing activities.
• Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and interface documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airport security requirements and operational standards.
• Support integrated systems testing, commissioning, and ORAT activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, and safety compliance.
• Resolve interface and technical coordination issues proactively.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls/automation engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing BHS systems for major airport projects.
• Strong understanding of automated baggage systems, controls integration, and airport operations.
• Experience in D&B, EPC, or modular aviation projects.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong coordination and systems integration experience.
