Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural design calculations for concrete/steel water tanks, tanks, and other structures.
• Prepare and review detailed design reports and project cost estimates.
• Develop project structural specifications and technical documentation.
• Create, review and coordinate engineering drawings and specifications.
• Guide draftsmen and BIM/modeling teams in producing tender and design drawings.
• Perform structural calculations, load assessments, and capacity checks.

Rawafid is seeking an experiencedConcrete Structure Design Engineer to lead and support structural engineering activities for water, wastewater, and industrial projects. The role will be responsible for developing detailed structural designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and BOQs while ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes, client requirements, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural design calculations based on field data, sound engineering assumptions, applicable codes, and standards for a variety of structures, including concrete and steel water tanks, steel structures, and other concrete structures.
• Prepare and review detailed structural design reports in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
• Prepare priced and unpriced Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed project cost estimates.
• Develop project structural specifications and technical documentation.
• Create, review, and coordinate engineering drawings and specifications.
• Guide draftsmen and BIM/modeling teams in producing required tender and design drawings.
• Perform structural calculations, simulations, load assessments, and capacity checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designs.
• Carry out civil load/capacity calculations and support the selection and design of appropriate equipment and materials.
• Develop water and wastewater network designs using appropriate engineering software.
• Manage structural engineering activities and coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) for engineering deliverables and project work.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams as required.
• Support project execution and business development activities through effective technical communication and coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team and contribute to effective project planning and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7–12 years of relevant structural engineering experience, preferably within water, wastewater, industrial, or construction projects.
• Minimum 7 years of in-Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) experience.
• Previous experience in a managerial or senior engineering capacity is preferred.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification.
• Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in structural design of concrete and steel structures.
• Experience with water and wastewater structures, including water tanks and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering codes and standards, including SBC, ACI, ASTM, AWWA, and NWC specifications.
• Ability to prepare structural calculations, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and review engineering and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction materials, concrete structures, steel structures, and construction engineering.
• Understanding of CAD/BIM workflows and structural modeling.
