Job summary

BD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Commercial Training Manager for the META region to design, develop, and execute capability-building programs across sales, marketing, clinical and commercial leaders. The role partners with Business Units, Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Sales Leadership, HR and Medical Affairs to support growth and evolving go-to-market models.

It will drive onboarding, certification, and succession planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Education, or related discipline.
• MBA is nice to have.
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Training, Sales Enablement, Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations and Learning & Development.
• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or life sciences.
• Experience developing and delivering regional training programs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and prioritize learning interventions.
• Align training initiatives with META strategic priorities and growth plans.
• Support the transition from distributor-led to direct-market commercial models through targeted capability development programs.
• Design and implement learning curricula for sales, marketing, clinical and commercial leaders.
• Develop training programs covering direct selling skills, solution selling, strategic account management, negotiation and contracting, territory and quota management, sales forecasting, customer engagement, and BD Excellence methodologies.
• Create blended learning solutions including instructor-led, virtual, digital and field-based learning.
• Track learning participation, completion and effectiveness; establish dashboards to measure outcomes.

About the role

The Commercial Training Manager META is responsible for designing developing and executing commercial capability-building programs across the META region The role partners closely with Business Units Commercial Excellence Marketing Sales Leadership HR and Medical Affairs teams to build the skills knowledge and behaviors required to support META s growth strategy and evolving go-to-market model The position will lead training initiatives focused on direct selling capabilities BD Excellence methodologies strategic account management solution selling sales effectiveness commercial leadership and customer engagement The Commercial Training Manager will establish a structured learning ecosystem that drives capability development accelerates onboarding and improves commercial execution across the region

Main responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and prioritize learning interventions
• Align training initiatives with META strategic priorities commercial excellence objectives and growth plans
• Support the transition from distributor-led to direct-market commercial models through targeted capability development programs
• Design and implement learning curricula for sales marketing clinical and commercial leaders
• Develop training programs covering direct selling skills solution selling strategic account management negotiation and contracting territory and quota management sales forecasting customer engagement commercial leadership BD Excellence methodologies
• Create blended learning solutions including instructor-led virtual digital and field-based learning
• Support deployment and adoption of BD Excellence tools and methodologies throughout META
• Facilitate workshops and learning sessions focused on continuous improvement and execution excellence
• Work closely with Commercial Excellence teams to reinforce tool adoption and behavioral change
• Build structured onboarding programs for new commercial associates and leaders
• Establish certification pathways and learning milestones
• Support succession planning and career development initiatives through capability assessments and development plans
• Develop leadership capability programs for front-line managers and commercial leaders
• Facilitate coaching feedback performance management and change leadership training
• Support growth mindset and problem-solving capability development initiatives across the region
• Manage annual commercial training plans and budgets
• Track learning participation completion and effectiveness
• Establish metrics and dashboards to measure capability development outcomes
• Ensure training content remains current compliant and aligned with business priorities
