Job summary

BD is seeking a Regional Marketing Leader Surgery META to shape the commercial marketing strategy across the Saudi, Middle East, Turkey and Africa META region. The role translates global portfolio strategies into regional growth plans, driving launch excellence and content governance to boost adoption and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in healthcare/life sciences with regional marketing or leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering growth strategies and market development across multiple countries.
• Experience with direct and distributor-based sales models in complex markets.
• Strong understanding of the Surgery space including hernia, infection prevention or hemostasis.
• Ability to connect global and regional teams balancing global consistency with local realities.
• Experience in upstream marketing, VOC programs, market insight generation.
• Strong content creation for customer-facing materials and exec presentations.
• Leadership through influence in matrix organizations across Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Finance, and Global teams.
• Strong financial planning and budgeting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the META Marketing strategy, portfolio priorities, launch plans, pricing input and commercial initiatives.
• Act as the bridge between Global Marketing and META commercial teams to reflect regional needs in global decisions.
• Lead upstream marketing by identifying unmet needs, trends and opportunities across META.
• Influence global roadmaps and launch strategies through VOC insights and market intelligence.
• Own governance of commercial marketing content across META, including value props and sales tools.
• Develop customer-centric value propositions tailored to market segments and country dynamics.
• Drive launch execution for new products and line extensions with adoption plans.
• Collaborate with country leaders, sales, product, medical affairs, market access, regulatory, finance, supply chain and customer service.
• Partner with distributors and direct teams to enhance marketing capability and engagement.
• Lead market research and performance assessments to inform strategy and platform optimization.
