Job summary

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an Assistant Manager – Cloud Operations to oversee day-to-day cloud operations, reliability, governance, security, and optimization across Azure and GCP. You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, application teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure stable, secure, and cost-effective cloud services aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud operations, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure and/or GCP.
• Understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, monitoring, backup, and HA.
• Experience with incident, problem, change, and service request management.
• Familiarity with SRE concepts including availability and monitoring.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management tools.
• Solid cloud security knowledge: IAM, RBAC, networks, encryption, and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience with automation or scripting using Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cloud operations across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, availability, performance, capacity, and incidents.
• Support SRE practices, including reliability monitoring, incident response, and automation.
• Manage incident response, service requests, escalations, and root cause analysis.
• Support cloud governance, policies, tagging, and compliance controls.
• Review and optimize cloud cost, usage, reserved capacity, rightsizing, and cleanup.
• Coordinate with vendors, MSPs, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity.
• Maintain cloud documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and knowledge base.
