Job summary

SYSTRA in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Design Engineer – Civil Infrastructure & Roads to support planning and design of major infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, practical design experience, and a solid understanding of local and regional standards within the KSA/GCC.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to prepare drawings, calculations, and documentation from concept through detailed design, coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of civil infrastructure and roads projects.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia preferred.
• Arabic speaker required.
• Strong knowledge of regional design standards and authority requirements.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop design drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications for civil infrastructure and road projects.
• Support the planning and design of roads, grading, utilities, drainage, and related infrastructure elements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and compliance with project requirements.
• Review project requirements, design criteria, standards, and authority regulations applicable in KSA and the GCC.
• Conduct technical assessments and contribute to value engineering and design optimization efforts.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
• Participate in internal design reviews and coordinate with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities when needed.
• Support the preparation of tender and construction documentation.
• Contribute to resolving design issues and responding to technical queries during project delivery.
