Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for road sector supervision in Saudi Arabia. You will provide technical leadership on highways and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with KSA standards and client requirements.

The role requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in road construction supervision, familiarity with Civil 3D/MX Road/OpenRoads, and strong coordination with multidisciplinary teams. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in road construction supervision, including earthworks, pavement layers, drainage, and utilities coordination.
• Strong knowledge of KSA road standards, specifications, and construction practices (e.g., MOT, municipal, or authority standards).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads, or similar, with familiarity in pavement design tools.
• Good understanding of traffic management, site safety practices, and construction sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight on roads, highways, and infrastructure works in line with KSA standards and client requirements.
• Review road geometry, pavement designs, drainage, utilities coordination, and traffic management plans.
• Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and construction teams to review drawings, calculations, and construction methodologies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Supervise earthworks, asphalt, concrete works, culverts, road furniture, and associated infrastructure.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and temporary traffic management plans.
• Identify risks, non-conformances, and technical challenges; propose practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors, authorities, and suppliers to resolve interface issues.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule, quality, and safety benchmarks.
• Prepare and review technical reports, inspection records, NCRs, correspondence, and progress documentation.
• Act as a technical interface between AtkinsRéalis, the client, contractors, and local authorities on road-related matters.
