Job summary

ICİçtaş Construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead design activities for a major road and infrastructure project. You will oversee road and bridge design, ensure compliance with standards, and deliver robust technical solutions in collaboration with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 20+ years in large-scale infrastructure, and 5+ years in a senior design position, with strong English; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 20+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including bridges, underpasses, overpasses, roads, and highways.
• Minimum 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer, contributing to and leading design works on complex infrastructure projects.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of roads and bridges, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations while delivering solutions that enhance safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
• Conduct detailed analysis and design calculations, utilizing advanced engineering software to produce high-quality design documentation and reports.
• Review and approve design drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance to design engineers and ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, and traffic engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions addressing all project aspects.
• Monitor design progress and performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and quality, providing feedback and recommendations to ensure compliance with design specifications.
