Job summary

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a BI & Reporting Expert to transform complex enterprise data into actionable visual insights. You will design dashboards, build data models, and partner with IT and leadership to drive data-informed decisions across the organization.

The role requires mastery of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and strong SQL skills, with experience in data warehousing and data governance. A quantitative degree is required and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise dashboards and automated reports.
• Build star/snowflake data models and optimize SQL queries.
• Collaborate with data engineers to maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Translate business requirements into KPI frameworks and dashboards.
• Enforce data governance and access controls across BI platforms.
• Master Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Advanced SQL skills including joins, CTEs and window functions.
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or SSAS.
• Preferred certifications: PL-300, Tableau Data Analyst, or ITIL4.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards and automated reports for leadership and teams.
• Translate business needs into KPI definitions, metrics, and executive summaries.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build robust ETL/ELT pipelines from ERPs/CRMs to data warehouses.
• Create data models (star/snowflake) and optimize performance of queries and dashboards.
• Implement data governance: data quality, RLS, access controls, and security policies.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to deliver insights that drive decisions.
• Educate teams on BI tools and best practices, enabling self-service analytics.

The BI & Reporting Expert transforms complex raw enterprise data into actionable visual insights, interactive dashboards, and executive reporting solutions. This role sits between IT infrastructure and business leadership to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard & Report Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade interactive dashboards and automated reports (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).

• Data Modeling & Architecture: Build robust star/snowflake schemas, optimize DAX/SQL queries, and manage data models for high performance.

• ETL & Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines from ERPs, CRMs, and SQL databases into data warehouses.

• Business Stakeholder Management: Translate complex business requirements into clear KPI frameworks, executive summaries, and functional dashboard specs.

• Data Governance & Security: Enforce row-level security (RLS), data quality standards, and access control policies across all BI platforms.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

• BI Tools: Mastery of Power BI (DAX, Power Query), Tableau, or Looker.

• Database & Querying: Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, procedure optimization).

• Data Warehousing: Working experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or SQL Server/SSAS.

• Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Tableau Certified Data Analyst, or ITIL4.
