Job summary

VaporVM Ltd. is seeking a NOC L1 Engineer to monitor IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and applications in a 24/7 NOC environment. You will handle first-level troubleshooting, incident management, alert handling, and escalation to L2/L3 teams as needed.

The role requires 1–3 years of NOC-related experience and strong networking knowledge. Candidates should be comfortable with rotating shifts and working in a fast-paced operations center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Networking or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in NOC, Network Operations, IT Support, Service Desk, or Infrastructure Support.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, or ManageEngine.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux troubleshooting and IT infrastructure monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network devices, servers, applications, and infrastructure using monitoring tools.
• Monitor WAN, LAN, VPN, internet connectivity, bandwidth, latency, and availability.
• Respond to alerts, alarms, and service disruptions and perform L1 troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPN, and connectivity issues.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents through ITSM/ticketing platforms.
