Job summary

Ninja in the North region seeks an Area Manager to oversee multiple dark stores, ensuring fast, accurate order fulfillment and high service levels. You will lead inventory, picking, packing, replenishment, and store operations while driving continuous improvement.

You will manage regional teams, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Last Mile, and Commercial teams to optimize performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dark stores, quick commerce, grocery e-commerce, retail, fulfillment, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance standards, and safety protocols.
• Experience managing multiple locations and high-volume operational teams.
• Data-driven with strong leadership, problem-solving, and execution skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with store teams and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across inventory, fulfillment, scheduling, and store performance.
• Drive KPIs for order accuracy, fulfillment speed, stock availability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop Store Managers and ops teams, including staffing and performance management.
• Collaborate with supply chain, last mile, commercial, and customer experience teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational standards across stores.

This role will be in the North region Ninja is looking for an experienced Area Manager to oversee the performance and day-to-day operations of multiple dark stores across the North region. This role is ideal for a hands-on operations leader with experience in quick commerce, grocery e-commerce, retail, fulfillment, or last-mile operations.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our dark stores operate efficiently, consistently, and at the speed required to deliver an excellent customer experience. You will lead teams across inventory, picking and packing, order fulfillment, replenishment, quality control, and store operations, while driving key operational and commercial KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment
• Ensure dark stores meet targets for order accuracy, fulfillment speed, product availability, and customer service
• Lead and develop Store Managers and operational teams, including staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
• Monitor key KPIs such as picking productivity, inventory accuracy, stock availability, shrinkage, wastage, and order fulfillment time
• Identify operational gaps and implement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, cost, and customer experience
• Partner with Supply Chain, Last Mile, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to resolve issues and improve service levels
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational standards across all stores
